A still better solution is to have a Distance piece for a full length = L i.e.40075 Kms (24,902 miles) Divided into 20 Basics so that each Basic would be 2003.75 Kms (1245.1 miles) and then further divide these 20 Basics into 100 Ranges and into 100 Portions. So then our meter would become 40075 Kms ¸ (20 x 100 x 100); 40075 Kms ¸ (200000) = 0.200375km = 1Atichinna Kms (Atichinna means very small in an Indian language) i.e. 0.200375 x 1000 = ≈ 200 meters.

To construct
a distance piece having the above parameters we would need to divide 100 mm by

get 31.830914 ≈ 32^{Ø }mm.
So taking a Dial diameter of this size its circumference would be 100 mm.
We further divide it into 20 Basics so that each Basic would be 5 mm.
